LEANZAK

LEANZAK LOWCHENS

It all began in 1993, when at our local ring craft we met George and Ian of the (Beaulion knls.) we feel in love with the Lowchen and indeed had a male (Beaulion Fear Nowt Fabion at Leanzak) a super little fellow with Hanovarian lines. Being HANOVARIAN BE BRAVE.

It was while we were showing Stan we happened to see a photo of ( Ch.Melfield Opal Overseas) belonging to Donna Cullen.

We approached Jocelyn Creffield of the Melfield Knls, about having a bitch from her. It was to be the beginning of a long and fruitful friendship. Both in and out of the show ring. (Ch. Melfield Step in Style to Leanzak) SISSY was our first Champion. She, mated to Sw Ch.Pridesden Pericles) ALSO WITH HANOVARIAN BE BRAVE, behind him produced our Leanzak Livin La Vida Loca.

During this time Mrs. Anne McDonald asked us if we would like to have her (Ch. Hanovarian Give me Gold Reeberrich). GOLDIE. Anne being in failing health , wished to make sure there would be continuation of her lines.

Of course we were delighted to accept her offer. Goldie was registered to our Knls.

GOLDIE was to be our FOUNADATION bitch, with which we have had much success in breeding.

Goldie as Anne had said, would produce us TYPE, SOUNDNESS and Good Temperament. We then mated Goldie to our (Sholeen Strongman of Leanzak JW). Between the two Lowchen we had our (Leanzak Bows “n” Bangles). POLLY. She being the daughter of Goldie and keeping HANOVARIAN true to type.

Anne being very astute with her breeding, requested that as her HANOVARIAN males where placed with a couple of established breeders, we would in the future consider using the said lines.

It was some considerable time later, but eventually we fulfilled our promise to Anne. Our (Leanzak Rodger at Chesalatina) to (Teejay Mystique) producing OUR (Teejay Spell of Gold Back at Leanzak). 2cc’s. 1 res. Cc.

Then we used Teejay Magic Touch to our Leanzak Bow Jangles (KC Reg No AD00851602) to produce Leanzak Midsummer Magic a beautiful B/S bitch. Also having 2cc’s.

Taking advice from Anne McDonald proved that her experience lives on, long after her sad demise.

WE CAN ONLY HOPE ANNE WAS LOOKING DOWN AND FEELING VERY PROUD, WHEN WE WENT TO CRUFTS THIS YEAR 2013. WINNING BEST OF BREED WITH( RENE’) Teejay Spell of Gold BACK at Leanzak.

ALSO RES. DOG CC WITH HER SON, LEANZAK GUARDIOLA.

Mea went into the TOY GROUP RING at Crufts. She being the YOUNGEST EVER Lowchen handler to do so. (at the age of only 14 years)

We have continued with this programme, now having bred our (Leanzak Guardiola) shown and handled by our granddaughter MEA.

MEA having won 2 res cc’s with him,one at Birmingham City Ch. Show. Judge Mrs. Janet Edwards, and of course the other at CRUFTS. Judge Mrs. Jocelyn Creffield. BOTH BREED SPECIALISTS.

Mea began her wins at the LOWCHEN club open show two years ago. At the age of 12 years old. The Judge Mr. Ben Brown, SPECIALIST (Lowgold) awarding her BEST IN SHOW with Rene’.

To the present day, and still taking on board Anne’s advice. We have brought into our Knls. (Biggleswick B’Dazzaled) BEA. She was mated to our (Leanzak Guardiola) having a beautiful litter of five puppies. The latest addition to our Knls, being a B/S bitch (Leanzak Viva La Viva).

Mea’s latest win being 1st Juinor dog in a very good class, at SKC Championship show in May 2013. Under BREED SPECIALIST. Mrs. Glynice Senior.
